20 years ago, I was asked a simple question...
What were my hobbies? What did I like to do in my time off? I thought long and hard about that question. I knew what I liked: Outdoors, Hiking, Beer, Camping and VW’s. I just had no idea what I liked doing. It was a question I couldn’t answer, and that seemed sad to me.
I had a career that sent me all over the world.
I learned a lot about myself, and I learned a lot about the things I didn’t like doing or the places I didn’t like being. A few years ago, I was given an opportunity to step back from a career-focused identity and to look inward: To assess my goals, identify what I wanted my future to look like and to align myself towards it. After a lot of reflection, I realized that by combining all the things I liked: Outdoors, Camping, VW’s and Beer, I had discovered something I was truly passionate about. Something that made me want to push harder and strive to get better at.
And then I thought how cool would it be to share my passion with people?
Hoppy Camper is the result of that reflection. Hoppy Camper is the ideal. Thanks so much for being here! We’re just getting started…
